Welcome to the Laramie County Democrats Homepage!

2008 is an exciting time to be a Democrat!  All across the country new voters are going to the polls and deciding to make a difference.  Here in Laramie County that enthusiasm is evident as well.  And with a legislative session about to begin, active involvement by citizens is even more important!

I urge all Democrats to find a way to contribute their time, talent and treasure in the coming months!

Our county convention will be held on March 8 2008.  Registration will open at 8:00 AM and close at 9:00 AM.  You must be a registered Democrat in Laramie county to participate.  If you have questions about your registration call the county clerk's office at (307)633-4242.

We will discuss the convention at our February Meeting on the 26th 7:00 PM at the Plains Hotel.

Mike Bell

County Chairman

At our last meeting on January 29, The Laramie county Democrats were graced with several of our local Senators and Congressmen.  We appreciate their time and all the hard work they do for Laramie County and all of Wyoming.

Democrat Fast Fact:  Drive the Youth Vote!

Historically the "Youth Vote" is a broad term to describe the voting trends and habbits of Americans 18-25 years of age.  This concept first arose from political movements of the youth in the 1930's to address concerns of employment, poverty, and education.  It be came a more significicant political factor in the late 60's and early 70's when the "Baby Boom" generation came of voting age and candidates started to acknowledge the vastly untapped pool of potential voters.  Today with so many strong candidates running for office the State primaries have seen their youth votes double, triple, and even QUADRUPLE in some areas.  So lets do our part and encourage our countries youth to participate in the Grand Experiment of Democracy!
