Boards and Commissions - Party Affiliation

Tomorrow the Joint Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Interim Committee will be meeting to discuss a bill draft that would change the number of Republicans on Boards and Commissions from no more than 4 to no more than 75%.

Charter Ordinance: City Administrator

On November 10, Cheyenne residents will vote to keep our current form of government with a Mayor system or change to a city administration system. The League of Women Voters held forums for both sides to argue for and against the proposed charter ordinance.

Laramie County Democrats at Superday| June 24, 2017 |9:30 AM | Lions Park

The Laramie County Democrats are headed to Superday! This annual tradition is a total blast and a great chance to meet your friends and neighbors and tell them why you’re proud to be a Democrat. It’s truly going to be a SUPER Day! The event runs 10:00 – 4:00 but we need help on set-up at 9:00/9:30 and tear down from 4:00 – 4:30.  Please contact us if you are willing to participate. The 35th Annual HollyFrontier Superday will be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This will be a day for children and adults of all ages and will be held in Lions Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming.

There will be rides, refreshments, live music, demonstrations, games, contests, exhibits and an arts and crafts show. In addition to these activities, there will be several sporting events including a HollyFrontier 5K/10K Run/Walk, the HollyFrontier Tour de Prairie and a Children’s Carnival.

America is a Nation of Immigrants. Openness is at the core of the American DNA. Immigrants are our friends, coaches, teachers, family members—they are the founders and leaders of our country.

Let’s celebrate our rich immigrant heritage with a community gathering & potluck. Please come share your family’s immigrant story and learn about current issues affecting immigrant populations. All ages are welcome.

If able, please bring a heritage food from your ancestral country to share.

Dems’ Build Day: Habitat for Humanity| July 1, 2017 | 1:00 – 5:00 PM |1315 Sonata Lane

Come join your fellow Dems and take part in our first LCD Community Outreach/Service volunteer project. We will be working on the Habitat for Humanity home at the listed address and we need at least 10 volunteers!

Water, tools, and safety equipment are provided. Closed toe shoes, long pants and sunscreen are recommended.
